inVADER alert

India has seen its share of invaders: from the Persians, Greeks, Mongols, Arabs, Portugese, French and British raiders. This may be the reason why we are so immune to be invaded and subjugated. iiitb, the place where I am doing my M.Tech is currently reeling under an invasion. With nearly a 100 people on training from Accenture and nearly half that size seizing the guest rooms, life has turned upside down for a normal iiitbian.

Let me first describe iiitb. I am not sure if it is still Indian Institute of Information Technology, or, has it become International Institute of Information Technology (due to some archaic government rule). So I shall simply refer it as iiitb. iiitb has a nice, quiet population of around 200 people who love late nights, loud music, and a touch of insomnia. With the latest additions, essential supplies like coffee, tea and even ice cream has become scarce. The most unimaginable thing that can happen on campus is the lack of LAN access points. This is because the visitors (we are getting used to them, so they may not be invaders for long) are occupying 2 labs completely. The invasion has started. What lies on the road ahead?
