Fear and Loathing in IIIT-B
Overheard at the college mess......
Not only do I have to tolerate all the deadlines, assignments , quizzes and projects but the insanely meaningless signatures that come with the mails!!! I' join committees only to be given work I absoulutely despise,and I'm supposed to put on an enthusiastic smile and pretend to like everything around me! Stand through long queues for lunch and hold on to my chair to not fall off out of boredom at the ovals drawn in the main class room!
And to top it all, I have to pay an astronomical amount for my party and stick decorative paraphernelia around so these people with "insanely meaningless signatures" can enjoy!!!
Phew!!!!!!
I attend equal number of tests than classes all day!
I;m constantly being advised in turns by strangers with "strange signatures" who say
-> Don't ask profs doubts
-> Don't Complain
-> DOn't cut classes
-> Don't make a loud noise
-> Don't talk out of time
-> Don't theorize, realise, polarise
-> Don't smoke
-> Don't walk on grass
-> Don't smoke grass
-> Don't walk on people who smoke grass
Phew!!!!!!!

But u know 1 thing
after the end of cold war even corporates , leave alone government,
are exploiting fear to keep social control.
example:
SAP will not confirm the interns till the last month so that they can extract as much work as possible at quarter of the cost.
But are the diehard SAP fans angry.
